Delirium

A disorder characterized by an acute or subacute disturbance in attention and awareness, accompanied by reduced clarity of awareness of the environment, developing over hours to days, fluctuating over the course of the day, and due to a direct physiological consequence of a medical condition, substance use, or multiple causes.
