A syndrome with features of OCD or related disorders caused by an underlying medical condition, such as PANDAS/PANS, Sydenham chorea, or basal ganglia disease.
Symptoms
- Obsessive-compulsive symptoms caused by medical condition (also: secondary OCD, organic OCD, OCD from basal ganglia disease, PANDAS, Sydenham chorea with OCD features)
- Sudden onset or acute exacerbation in context of medical illness (also: acute OCD onset from infection, sudden onset compulsions, OCD triggered by streptococcal infection, abrupt OCD from neurological event)
