Schizophrenia, multiple episodes

Characterized by a multi-episode course of schizophrenia – at least one prior episode has occurred and the present represents a further relapse. The disorder has a recurrent character with distinct psychotic episodes and intervals between them. Current clinical status – active episode, partial remission, or full remission – is specified separately. A multi-episode course necessitates planning for long-term psychiatric care.
