Developmental speech fluency disorder

Characterized by speech interrupted by repetitions, blocks, or prolongations of sounds, such as stuttering. These difficulties persist over time and may interfere with daily communication and social contact. They often worsen in stressful situations or when speaking to unfamiliar people. They may lead to avoidance of conversation and social withdrawal.
