Secondary neurocognitive syndrome
A syndrome with features of neurocognitive disorder (memory impairment, executive dysfunction, attention deficits) caused by an underlying medical or neurological condition (e.g. HIV, autoimmune encephalitis, systemic lupus erythematosus).
Symptoms
- Cognitive deficits caused by underlying medical condition (also: secondary cognitive impairment, organic cognitive syndrome, cognitive decline from HIV, dementia from autoimmune disease, cognitive dysfunction from systemic disease)
- Memory or executive function impairment from organic cause (also: organic memory loss, executive dysfunction from disease, cognitive decline from encephalitis, attention deficits from medical cause)
